Technology Support Services provides frontline IT and AV support for faculty, staff, and researchers in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health. We support Yale-managed devices, classroom and event technology, and common software and collaboration tools. Our team works to ensure consistent, reliable support across day-to-day operations, projects, and department needs.

Desktop Support Services
The Desktop Support team assists faculty and staff with Yale-managed devices, providing help with hardware and software issues, workstation setup, and approved Yale applications. The team also offers a location for walk-in support, provides hardware and software consultations, and can support department-sponsored projects through separate scoping.
We provide desktop support for Yale-managed devices used by faculty and staff across supported health sciences departments. Our team handles day-to-day troubleshooting, software and hardware issues, and assistance with Yale-approved tools.
When requests fall outside our scope, we triage and route tickets to the appropriate IT teams, ensuring a seamless experience and minimizing delays. We also coordinate with Yale ITS to support broader services and escalate high-priority issues when needed. Request HSIT Deskside Support.
At the Health Sciences IT Technology Support Services Center (TSSC) staff can receive in-person help with supported devices and technologies, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Appointments are encouraged but not required. The TSSC is located at the lower level of the Harvey Cushing/John Hay Whitney Medical Library. Learn more about the TSSC and where it’s located.

Audio Visual Support Services
The Health Sciences IT AV team provides comprehensive support for audiovisual technology across the Yale School of Medicine. Our mission is to ensure that classrooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, and event spaces are equipped with reliable technology and expert support, enabling faculty, staff, and students to focus on teaching, learning, and collaboration.
From lectures and symposia to high-profile conferences, we provide skilled technicians to set up, operate, and monitor AV systems, so events run seamlessly.
