Strategy & Portfolio is a cross-functional team of project managers, educational technologists, and campus health professionals who lead strategic initiatives that enhance digital learning, operational efficiency, and community well-being.
The team consists of three subgroups Portfolio, Campus Health Systems, and YSM Educational Technology & Innovation. Each of these groups have vast but important roles within Health Sciences IT.
Health On Track is Yale’s enterprise system for uploading and tracking health requirements. Whether you are a student, employee, or faculty member, health requirements allow Yale to promote a safe environment for everyone who lives and/or works on campus.
Health requirements may include vaccinations, tests, or examinations and vary depending on your role at Yale. They may be related to safety or labor laws, or university policies. Through Health On Track, you may view your requirements, see how to complete them, and submit documentation as needed.
YSM Educational Technology & Innovation collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to enhance teaching, learning, and engagement at the Yale School of Medicine through strategic use of technology. Using data-driven insights, it helps identify and integrate emerging tools—such as LMS platforms, simulation, VR/AR, and AI—into classroom and clinical education. The team supports innovation in pedagogy, curriculum mapping, and learner assessment across all levels of medical education and related domains.
The HSIT-software@yale.edu team fields questions about what software is available, assists with procurement, information security, and other policy questions, consults on alternatives and custom software, and more. This service aims to reduce confusion, minimize risk, and identify potential savings. Submit a Software Inquiry or Request. (login required)
If you are anticipating a major software purchase or build, submit a request for review for Health Sciences Technology Advisory Committee (HSTAC). With representatives across health campus, the committee meets monthly to evaluate software projects and products to balance impact and capacity.
