Complimentary Services

As a health campus service we provide at no additional cost:
  • Initial consultation about selecting or enhancing custom or vendor apps
  • Guidance in preparing security planning assessment
  • Referral to do it yourself or other services for reporting or basic app configuration
  • Digital signature service through Adobe Sign through June 30, 2025
  • Depending on capacity and review by senior leadership, may be complimentary or at cost:
    • Technical support for the health professional schools central business and finance offices. 
    • Application development and support for multi-dept, school, or university level priorities. 

Cost Recovery of IT Services

  • Charge applies to projects that benefit individual principal investigators or teams within a single dept.
  • Services may include project management, change management, business analysis, app development, custom reporting, configuration, maintenance, information security, or other comprehensive support.
  •  For applications for which HSIT is the technical owner, there is a minimum charge for 5 hours/month maintenance and production support at the Internal IT Rate. 

Cost Recovery Rates -FY26

Monthly costs will be billed monthly through Pinnacle Systems. One-time costs for project cost may be billed at a different frequency. In addition to the HSIT rates below, projects may have a passthrough of ITS Billable Rates, the Software Library, or other vendor costs.

Internal Professional IT services $100/hour Labor. Services may include project management, change management, business analysis, app development, custom reporting, configuration, maintenance, information security.

School of Medicine, Team-Based Desktop IT support, baseline

$294/year/FTE

Labor. Charge is per faculty or staff within the School of Medicine who receives team-based desktop support from the university.

School of Medicine, Technician based Desktop IT support $75/hour Labor. Services may include paid consultation, projects or specialty support except Audio visual.
Audiovisual Support, for standard rooms renovated on or after FY23 $100/hour Labor, Comprehensive A/V support with tiers 1-5, for spaces that have been renovated or upgraded to university A/V standards. This includes  A/V staff onsite support cost, software licensing, and remote monitoring. Room Tiers are based on a number factors. These include room size, room usage, A/V system complexity, equipment replacement costs, proactive maintenance and other variables, as determined by the YSM Audio Visual Team.
Audiovisual Support, for legacy rooms $25/hour Labor, Best effort A/V support with tiers 1-5, for existing spaces not upgraded to university A/V standards.  This includes A/V staff limited troubleshooting and repair to maintain basic functionality, as determined by the YSM Audio Visual Team. Additional equipment or vendor costs will be billed separately.
Audiovisual Support, Event Services, Setup $75/event Labor, A/V Event support. Equipment rentals will be additional. Microphones: $75 each; Projectors: $100 each; Screens: $25 each. 
Audiovisual Support, Event Services, Tech support $100/hour Labor, A/V Specialty event support. Specialized vendor work requires a separate Statement of Work (SOW) and SLA for scoping, prioritization, and resourcing. 
Audiovisual Support, Event Services, Emergency support $150/hour Labor, A/V Emergency support.
