Software Library

Anyone with an active Yale NetID can access free, University-provided, and licensed (fee-based) software.

  • Personal or Yale non-managed computers (admin access required)
    Access the ITS Software Library (OnTheHub) to download many titles licensed by the University. Additional titles are available for purchase at discounted educational pricing. Payment options include COA billing, credit card, or PayPal.
  • Yale-managed (“Bulldog”) computers (no admin rights required)
    Install software through Software Center (Windows) or Company Portal (macOS). Intended for faculty and staff with Yale Bulldog workstations.  
    – Follow the self-install instructions.

Self-Service Compute

  • Yale MyApps (Azure Virtual Desktop – Windows 11)
    Yale MyApps provides access to ITS-supported and licensed apps from any device, anywhere.
    – Free for students and faculty.
    Staff must request access.
  • Yale Spinup (AWS Virtual Servers)
    Use the Yale Spinup Portal to create servers, containers, or static websites in Linux or Windows environments. (VPN required off-campus.)
